We are a Singapore Headquartered Recruitment Consulting Company. Our client in Oman from the TELECOMMUNICATIONS industry is looking to hire a " DATA NETWORK SERVICES EXPERT " for a permanent assignment. The following are the skills required for the position.
JOB PURPOSE :
Plans, sizes and optimises the core data network consisting of the DCN network, MPBN network, the 2G SGSN, 3G SGSN and GGSN nodes.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
• Correlates dimensioning of data network nodes (SGSN, GGSN, routers, switches, FWs) based on traffic and customer growth
• Designs the environment for new IP based services
• Evaluates and fine tunes QoS of existing GPRS/3G data based services
• Provides expertise on optimising the performance of IP based services
• Manages data core network platforms performance
• Supports Product Management in the development of new data services
• Approves acceptance test documents
• Approves work orders for daily operations
• Undertake required data network design changes
• Make independent decisions for the work on systems for which he is responsible for daily operations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :
Education Level – B.Sc or equivalent in IT or a related technology
Work Experience
At least 4 years of background in other mobile operator on similar position which covers operation, maintenance and dimensioning of packet core network
Special Skills/ Competencies
• Good decision making skills
• Good change management skills
• Very Good written and spoken English
• Written and spoken Arabic is desirable
