Field Engineer - 2G/3G/Ericsson - A leading mobile telecoms company is searching for a Field Engineer to join their team in the London area on a contract basis. The Field Engineer will be responsible for 2G and 3G enhancement tasks, primarily commissioning of 2G and 3G RAN elements. You will complete outstanding Installation work, carry out acceptance and commissioning activities on Ericsson 2G and 3G, carry out network expansions on 2G and 3G network elements and engage with third parties to resolve issues. Candidates must have a good background in field engineering, strong Ericsson kit expertise and good 2G and 3G knowledge. This role will involve working at heights, working in a radio environment (ideally Candidates will hold RF Awareness and Rooftop Safety certificates) . In order to be considered you MUST have: - Nokia 3G experience. - Ericsson 2G experience. - Experience of MW Radio-either PCom, Nera, Minilink, Siae, DMC, NEC Pasolink or Nokia Flexihopper - Experience of Nortel 2G and working in an Ericsson switching platform would be nice to have but not essential. Travel will be a vital part of this role so all potential candidates must have a full and valid driving license. This is a long term contract that may last up to 24 months so commitment to the project will be very important during the selection process.
