Responsibilities
• To Develop interfaces for different vendors for OSS Performance Management Domain
• Work on multi vendor, multi technology, and understand network specific Performance KPIs
• Liaise with KPI Engineers and create summary reports on defined KPIs
• Sets KPI definition/threshold/formulae for reporting purposes
• Define / Create Reports / Modules for Optimization product as per company and Customer
standards
• Calculate Busy Hour of Network
• Define and map Multi Vendors KPIs for different interfaces.
• Define Data model as per vendor specifications and activate on databases
• Liaise with software developers to aid bug fixing
• Troubleshooting and Maintaining KPI defined for particular vendor.
• Create Database on the basis as per template.
• Import customer databases (Oracle) and verify software issues.
Mandatory requirements
• Knowledge of databases (ideally ORACLE) and good SQL skills
• Good Knowledge of Counters Descriptions
• Good Knowledge of - GSM / UMTS/ MSS / Mobile Switch / PSTN Switch Technologies
• Understanding of the Performance Management domain and ability to relate to and report on
a network’s performance indicators
• Knowledge of Multi Vendors KPIs
• Understanding of OSS Performance Management domain and KPI.
• Have a good knowledge of Windows O/S, UNIX, HP-UNIX and application software
• Excellent with Layout design and reporting. Should be good with graphs
• Energetic, flexible, team player, able to use own initiative
• Able to work and meet targets and tight deadlines with minimal supervision
• Quick to gain and apply new skills
• Have an ability to learning and appreciative new engineering software
• Active, flexible, team player, able to use own initiative
• Be comfortable with working to stretched time limit
• Be able to express a methodical and consistent approach to their work
Desirable Skills
• Microsoft office proficiency, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of VBA and macro writing skills is highly desirable
• Experience with reporting tools
Experience and Qualifications
• Electronic & Communication Engineering degree or better
