China's Huawei is reported to have won a managed services 3G network supply contract from India's Tata Teleservices (TTSL). According to media reports, citing a statement from Huawei, Tata Teleservices has selected the Chinese vendor to roll out network in five circles.
Tata Teleservices has 3G licenses covering nine circles.
The media reports did not offer an indication as to the value of the contract or the timeline for the rollout.
The contract for the other four circles had already been given to Nokia Siemens Networks - also for managed services and network deployment.
