Description
As Back Office (VAS) Engineer you will work a Network Operations Center
(NOC) with 2G/3G Service Layer network activities associated to the readiness-fulfillment, assurance and billing process areas.
You will be responsible for day-to-day network performance monitoring, reporting and analysis of all 2G/3G Service Layer Revenue Management at links, node, application and network levels. You will contribute in the creation and improvements to operation center procedures and routines to keep the configuration, serviceability/traffic ability performance and billing provisioning at the right level.
Qualifications
You have a broad knowledge within telecom and datacom, covering hardware, software and network knowledge. You enjoy working with people from around the world and across various disciplines. You are self-motivated, with the drive to solve problems and expand your knowledge.
You MUST have:
. Minimum 3 years experience of Nokia Performance Management in a NOC
. Good understanding of NSN 2G/3G IN/VAS performance counters,
features, objects and parameters
. Excellent skills in setting up network performance environment,
tools and report
. Aptitude & Excellent understanding of 2G/3G Service Layer Networks
is required
. Experience of NSN 2G/3G Nodes such as but not limited to
o MSC, MSS, MGW, HLR,
o 2GSGSN, 3G SGSN, GGSN,
o SMSC, MMSC & WAPGW
o BSC3i S12&S13
o RNC RAS06
o NetAct tools and Utilities
. Excellent knowledge of Dependability performance parameters, KPI's
and their interpretation and use.
. Good working knowledge of NetACT Core and Access statistical
databases.
. Hands on experience in Business Objects, Business Intelligence and
Crystal reports.
You should also have
. A Bachelor of Science in IT, telecom or equivalent, plus at least
five years of telecommunications experience
. Experience with managed operations
. Good written and spoken English
