Staff/Senior/Software Engineer, Grid Computing

Position : Staff/Senior/Software Engineer, Grid Computing
(Technology Park Malaysia, Bukit Jalil – Kuala Lumpur)

Responsibilities :

* Development of procedures and practices and standards for analysis/representation of customer requirements and design of the National Grid Computing Initiative implementation
* Evaluation of software data and process architectures for issues, consistency with standards and technical direction of the National Grid Computing Initiative to resolution/compliance
* Implementation of the software requirements as per defined software functional specifications based on the required technology
* Evaluation of software data and process architectures for issues, consistency with standards and technical direction of the National Grid Computing Initiative to resolution/compliance
* Participate in software subsystem definition for the KnowledgeGRID Malaysia
* Definition and review of software domain interfaces for the KnowledgeGRID Malaysia
* Participate in scheduled and in process design reviews of the KnowledgeGRID Malaysia.

Requirements :

* The candidate must have at least 3-5 years of specific experience in software development of medium & large-scale object-oriented systems (web portal and web services)
* The candidate should have technical knowledge of and experience with UNIX and non-UNIX inter-process communication mechanisms, possess strong presentation /technical writing skills and have technical knowledge of Java, Object Oriented (OO) Analysis, OO Design, OO Programming, Relational Database Design, OODB design
* Experience required in defining software interfaces and software development environments
* The position calls for high caliber technical oriented candidates who will be working as software engineers to be part of the National Grid Computing Initiative
* The majority of a successful candidate's experience should have been acquired on projects which used Object Oriented analysis, design & implementation methods in software development of Java-based system for UNIX and Windows based distributed systems
* The candidate should possess strong presentation/technical writing skills
* Windows (Vista and Mobile) based driver development
* Specific Skills and Knowledge Required
o J2EE, Java web services, JSP, Servlet (Portlet & Portlet Services) Programming, AJAX
o Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)and Web Services Architecture (WSDL, SOAP, XML)
o Globus Toolkit 4
o Shell script, Perl, PHP
o Messaging (SOAP) and Socket programming.
