SR NETWORK ENGINEER – Clearance Required

Highlights of Responsibilities:
• IP Transport Engineer, responsible for the design and system engineering of the N-NC Enterprise Networks.
• Provide in-depth support with Cisco networking routing and switching.
• Configuring and maintaining the new and existing Cisco routing and switching devices.
• Provide general network support and build-outs including existing customer and new project tasks.
• Provide comprehensive support of the following Software: Cisco IOS, ASDM, Wireshark, and Microsoft Visio.
• Provide comprehensive support of the following Hardware: Wide range of Cisco devices ranging from large to small switches and routers and security appliances, Type 1 encryptors from a variety of manufacturers.
Skills Desired:
• Proficient in required aspects of network engineering: design, implementation, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CCNP/CCDP
• Must have a current Secret clearance
• Ability to document using Microsoft Visio.
• Proven work experience with Cisco routers, switches (LAN and WAN) required.
• Minimum 7 years comprehensive experience with TCP/IP, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF and other routing protocols.
• 7+ years working experience with Cisco routers and switches.
• 12+ years in the networking industry.
• Willing to work hands-on 7/24/365 and participate in on-call schedule to resolve network problems.
